Nymeria of Ny Sar - GoT Fan Art Tapestry

This is part of a fan art series, medieval "tapestries" featuring prominent characters from George R. R. Martin's Game of Thrones universe. My goal was to portray these characters in a stylized way, borrowing some of the elements found in Medieval/Renaissance tapestries and illuminated manuscripts.

In this tapestry we meet Nymeria of Ny Sar, the beautiful princess of the Rhoynar, who led her people to Dorne and wedded Mors Martell, joining his house and people. There in Dorne, to prove their loyalty and commitment to remain in Dorne, she ordered her fleet of ten thousand ships burned as a token of loyalty and love.
