Lyonel Baratheon - GoT Fan Art Tapestry

This is part of a fan art series, medieval "tapestries" featuring prominent characters from George R. R. Martin's Game of Thrones universe. My goal was to portray these characters in a stylized way, borrowing some of the elements found in Medieval/Renaissance tapestries and illuminated manuscripts.

In this tapestry, Lyonel Baratheon is depicted. An ancestor of House Baratheon, he was noted for his fierceness in battle, as well as his laughter. Here he is shown with his storied axe and antlered helm, laughing loudly as a storm rages around him.

When I think of Baratheons in GRRM's universe, I think of Thor from Norse mythology. They are awesome!
