Hand Engraving - some of my designs and engravings for Cannonball Music

Here are several of the designs and corresponding hand engravings that I created for Cannonball in recent years. Cannonball Music is a musical instrument manufacturer which enjoys pursuing an old fashioned, hand engraving style on their instruments. I was hired to produce (and then engrave) dozens of designs like these and hundreds of engravings for them, beginning in 2016.

Here are some of my favorite designs from that job.

I drew and then finished my designs primarily in Photoshop, then transferred my drawings directly onto the saxophones with chemicals and, finally, engraved the design into the brass instruments with a collection of knives and chisels.
