The Lightsmith - Card Art - Tarot of Zorroc

Drawing on influences ranging from Dragon Age: Inquisition’s menu art to illuminated manuscripts and tarot iconography, along with some golden-age illustration styles, this piece was designed as a card one might find in a Warcraft arcanist’s tarot deck.

This is one card from the Deck of Zorroc, a homebrew fan art project of mine set in the Warcraft universe.

In this card we see "The Lightsmith", an Earthen dwarf blacksmith and follower of the Light. Having found himself free to pursue directives of his own design, this smith left Dornogal to study the Holy Light under the paladins of Ironforge City. He found there an affinity for channeling the Light through his craft, making weapons of pure radiance to aid his allies against the shadow.
